Where Curiosity Blooms

At Nature’s Children, we believe children learn best through play, exploration, and hands-on experiences. Our nature-based programs encourage curiosity, creativity, and social growth in a safe, nurturing environment.
From outdoor adventures to fun, engaging activities, every day is an opportunity for children to discover, explore, and grow while building a love of learning that lasts a lifetime.
About Us
Our program is a unique blend of the warmth of a home daycare and the personalized care of a nanny share, offering a low child-to-caregiver ratio that ensures each child receives the attention, guidance, and support they need to learn, play, and grow every day.
Our days are thoughtfully designed to spark curiosity and creativity. Children engage in outdoor adventures, hands-on projects, story time, and enriching field trips to local parks, farms, libraries, maker spaces, museums, local preschool workshops, etc. By balancing structured learning with free exploration, we provide a nurturing environment where children can build confidence, develop social skills, and foster a lifelong love of learning.
At Nature’s Children, we’re more than a childcare program—we’re a community where children thrive, explore, and grow guided by nature’s touch and supported by caring, passionate providers.
PHILOSOPHY USED AT NATURE’S CHILDREN
FREEDOM
A child must be free to explore and follow his own natural impulses, thus developing his potential and increasing his knowledge of the world around him. Within the prepared environment, the child must experience freedom of movement, freedom of exploration, freedom to interact socially, and freedom from interference from others. This freedom ultimately leads to a greater freedom: freedom of choice.
STRUCTURE AND ORDER
While structure and order seem counter-intuitive to the aforementioned freedom, nothing could be further from the truth. Structure and order in the environment accurately reflect the sense of structure and order in the universe. By using our environment as a microcosm of the universe, the child begins to internalize the order surrounding him, thus making sense of the world in which he lives.
BEAUTY
Our environment is meant to be beautiful. The environment should suggest a simple harmony. Uncluttered and well maintained, the environment should reflect peace and tranquility. The environment should invite the child to come in and work. This atmosphere is easily seen through the attitude of those working there, both child and adult.
NATURE AND REALITY
Nature provides one of the biggest driving forces of curiosity and exploration while offering rich sensorial experiences for children. For this reason, nature has always been an integral part of the learning process. It is easy to draw a deep connection between nature and childhood development. Children come to appreciate nature and all that it has to offer, and we use nature to inspire children.
SOCIAL ENVIRONMENT
Where there is freedom to interact, children learn to encourage and develop a sense of compassion and empathy for others. As children develop, they become more socially aware, preparing to work and play in groups. This social interaction is supported throughout the environment.
